The Light Balance Approach is based on the following key principles:

Being open-minded

Many alternative healing systems, indeed many cultures, come with their own baggage: a series of beliefs which may not all be universally empowering – or even very well thought through. This is particularly true when it comes to the explanations of how and why they work. 

 

Many people talk unquestioningly of 'Ancient Wisdom', and conveniently overlook the fact that these ancient people - who were apparently so 'wise' - believed, among other things, that the world was flat. Being realistic, then, I think it's healthy to recognise that this 'ancient wisdom' was often intermingled with a large amount of 'ancient ignorance'.

 

Although my personal experience of Jin Shin Jyutsu® and Reiki has shown me that ancient healing arts are as valid today as they were centuries ago, I feel it is important for us to remember that today's world is far different to life thousands of years ago - and what may have been valid and appropriate back then, is not necessarily valid and appropriate now.

 

The EMF Balancing Technique® is a very new system of energy that was introduced by Peggy Phoenix Dubro in the 1980's. I feel it's possible to blend ancient wisdom with the new energies available to us today to create for ourselves a powerful way to enhance our lives and truly live the life we wish to live. 

 

Despite claims to the contrary, no one yet knows for sure exactly how and why alternative healing works. Importantly, though, we don’t need to know.  After all, until the time of Isaac Newton, no one knew how gravity worked – but it worked anyway, didn't it?

 

And, as the testimonials of many of my clients show, each of the systems used in the Light Balance Approach works – in its own way.  A Light Balance Session is designed to explore the best approach and system to use for you, a unique and wonderful individual.

 

 


 

Promoting self-reliance

 

Medical research over the past forty years has shown beyond question that each person's body-mind is capable of giving them all the healing/development they could ever need. Sometimes however, an individual's natural abilities require a bit of a jump-start: someone to help the healing process begin. I personally believe that there is no such thing as a 'healer' in the common sense of the word - there are simply Healing Facilitators. I also believe that people shouldn't have to become long-term reliant on a facilitator, and so I would expect that most people would need no more than four Light Balance Sessions in order to set them on their way - provided they are given the appropriate tools to keep their healing process going. 

 

Therefore, in session one, we will explore how Jin Shin Jyutsu® may be applied as a self-help technique and you will receive a manual full of simple techniques to take away with you. In this way you may continue to support your healing and personal development at home.

 

In subsequent sessions we will review your progress and individual recommendations will be made.

 


 

Constantly developing

Some healing facilitators are content to stick with one approach, believing it to be a panacea for all ills. Experience has shown me that although each has something to offer, one approach is not always the most appropriate for an individual. Therefore I am constantly looking to add to the systems I am able to use – partly to increase the number of tools in my kit, but also to get a broader perspective on the synergies between different systems.
